| For more than 100 years, our Society has served its members. As the years have passed, membership has grown and evolved. To honor our legacy and reflect who we have become today—a global organization representing more than 22,000 members from 100 countries—we have changed our name to Optica, the Society advancing optics and photonics worldwide. In her recent President's Message in Optics & Photonics News (OPN), Connie Chang-Hasnain welcomes the membership to Optica. | While the transition to Optica may seem like it happened suddenly, the change has actually been under discussion for many years. | Attend the Optica Annual Meeting |
| Frontiers in Optics + Laser Science will be presented 31 October - 04 November in an all-virtual format. Participate live, online as Technical Sessions are presented or view recorded content on-demand later. Registrants also receive perpetual access to the Technical Digest papers and archived video recordings on the Optica Publishing Group platform. The Technical Conference, with Plenary and Visionary Speakers, invited speakers and contributed talks and posters, is supplemented by thematic programs that connect research and applications on hot topics: Autonomous Systems, Machine Learning and Virtual Reality and Augmented Vision. Registrants also have full access to sessions and papers presented at the Quantum Information Measurement VI Conference—which is co-presented with FiO LS. |
