Upcoming Award Nominations Deadlines
Paul F. Forman Team Engineering Excellence Award
To recognize teams who have made major contributions in optical engineering, OSA presents the Engineering Team of Excellence Awards. Nominations for the 2015 award are due July 2, 2015. More information is available on-line.
John Tyndall Award
Co-sponsored with IEEE/Photonics Society, the John Tyndall Award is presented annually to a single individual who has made outstanding contributions in any area of optical-fiber technology, including optical fibers themselves, the optical components used in fiber systems, as well as transmission systems and networks using fibers. The nomination deadline for the 2016 award is 10 August 2015. Obtain form and submit all nomination material to IEEE Photonics Society.
Herbert Walther Award
The Hebert Walther Award recognizes distinguished contributions in quantum optics and atomic physics as well as leadership in the international scientific community. The award is co-sponsored with Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft (DPG) and nominations for the 2016 award should be submitted to DPG Office by 1 September 2015.

Join the Optical Material Studies Technical Group at Advanced Photonics for a networking reception! Benjamin Anderson of Washington State University, an invited speaker at the Novel Optical Materials and Applications topical meeting, will be collaborating with the group to host this reception and give you a chance to connect with your fellow attendees, exchange ideas, and network.
