Vladimir Lazarev
Vladimir Lazarev (b. 1986) received his B.S. in optoelectronics with distinction from Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU), Moscow, Russia in 2007, followed by his M. S. with distinction in 2009. He was a research engineer at All-Russian Scientific and Research Institute for Optical and Physical Measurements in 2007-2012. He joined Science and Education Center for Photonics and IR-Technology at BMSTU in 2012 as a senior researcher. In 2013, he presented his Ph. D. thesis. Since 2017, Vladimir Lazarev is the head of the laboratory for stabilized laser systems. His research interests include fiber optics, laser physics, ultrafast lasers, mid-IR laser sources, and optical frequency standards.
Vladimir Lazarev is an active OSA Member since 2006 when he joined as a student member. He served as the BMSTU OSA Student Chapter President for 4 years. During this period he took part in EPS Young Minds Project and established the EPS Student Chapter at BMSTU. He also served as a co‐organizer of the International Network of Students event, IONS‐8, in Moscow. In addition, he has served on the IONS Planning Committee where he has been working to give other students similar leadership opportunities.
