Tatevik Chalyan
Originally Armenian, Tatevik has obtained a degree of European Doctorate in Physics from the University of Trento, Italy in 2018, and currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher in Brussels Photonics Team (B-PHOT) at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium. B-PHOT's state-of-the-art laboratories equipped with a wide range of cutting-edge instrumentation enable her multidisciplinary research in fields of optical biosensing, fluorescence microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, optofluidics design and validation. Her work aims to utilize optics and photonics for a better life.
Besides her newly developing academic career, she has also an experience in the industry, from 2011 to 2014 working as a laser engineer in LT-PYRKAL cjsc., Yerevan, Armenia. Moreover, she has had a short but productive experience in LioniX International BV, The Netherlands.
In parallel with her research activities, she actively organises local and international conferences, various workshops, online photonics meetups. She is also mentoring student chapters and individuals from different countries. Tatevik is a fighter for the student and the student chapters rights. She will be happy to help and guide with her experience and passion in society.
