I'm a young researcher at the Facultad de Ciencias Físico Matemáticas of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, Mexico; my research area is Nonimaging Optics and Fresnel lens design applied to Illumination. Today I'm also working on plasmonic detectors.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a master’s and Ph.D. degree in Physical Engineering from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León.
I'm the academic chief of the Computer Science Bachelor program at my university; I have been working during the last years in renewing the curricula of the IT students adding Physics, Optics, and its applications as a critical part of their fundamental formation.
I began doing science outreach 12 years ago, and thanks to the Outreach group "Física Pato2", which I co-founded in 2013, and all the collaboration we have made with other outreach groups, we have reached more than 120,000 in the past ten years.
