Emerson Barbano

Dr. Emerson Barbano is an Assistant Professor at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Brazil. He obtained his Doctorate’s degree in Science: Physics from the University of Sao Paulo (USP), Brazil, in 2016. In 2015, he did a research internship at Colorado School of Mines (CSM), USA. In 2019, Emerson received the Best Dissertation Award in the area of Optics and Photonics by the Brazilian Physical Society. He has published one book chapter and approximately 20 articles in scientific journals and conference proceedings on the subject of nonlinear optics. He founded the UFPR Student Chapter and has almost ten years of experience in outreach activities.
