Established in 2012, the JSAP-Optica Joint Symposia is organized by Optica and the Japan Society of Applied Physics (JSAP) and takes place during the JSAP Autumn Meeting.

The English-language sessions are designed to increase the participation of international scientists and students in the JSAP Meeting.

Topics include: Plasmonics and Nanophotonics;  Photonics Devices, Photonic Integrated Circuit and Silicon Photonics; Lasers and Laser Materials Processing; Information Photonics; Nanocarbon and 2D Materials; Terahertz Photonics and  Quantum Optics and Nonlinear Optics.
