About the Speaker
Obada Alia, PhD, serves as the Vice President of Applied Research in Quantum Communications and Cryptography at JPMorgan Chase's Global Technology Applied Research Center. In this role, he pioneers the integration of quantum cryptography and next-generation communication networks within the financial services sector. Before joining JPMorgan Chase, Obada was a Senior Research Associate at the University of Bristol, where he specialized in the coexistence of quantum and classical technologies in dynamic optical networks. He earned his PhD in Quantum Communication from the University of Bristol, where his research focused on integrating quantum and classical technologies into telecommunication infrastructure. Obada also holds master's and bachelor's degrees in Telecommunications, Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same institution.
