About the Speaker
Christina Hirschl has extensive experience in Research and Development, as well as in building, growing, and leading large teams in industry-oriented applied research. Her education includes degrees in science and teaching, culminating in a PhD in physics with a focus on novel technologies. Her passion lies in making innovation possible and enabling digitalization and new business opportunities by collaborating with various industry branches across different stages of the value chain.
Since June 2023, Christina has been the CEO of Silicon Austria Labs GmbH. Prior to this role, she managed the Villach site of SAL and headed the Sensor Systems Division. Over the past three years, she has successfully overseen an upstream merger and the growth of the Villach facility from 43 to over 160 employees representing over 40 nations. With three different sites and diverse research topics, achieving consensus, lean and innovative management, and problem-solving competence are essential.
