About the Speaker
Dr. Lutz Aschke, with over 26 years in photonics, is CEO of the Photonics Systems Group, a leading innovator in laser micro processing. The Photonics Systems Group (PSG) includes the brands InnoLas Solutions, L-TRIS Instruments and ProAut Technologies. The company develops, manufactures and distributes high-precision equipment and process solutions for customer-specific laser applications in the photovoltaic, electronics and semiconductor industries worldwide.
In addition to leading PSG, Dr. Lutz Aschke has been the President of Photonics21 since 2022. His scientific background is plasma physics especially DUV optics, EUV light sources and laser fusion. During his academic career he worked as scientific assistant and teaching assistant at Ruhr-University Bochum and as freelancer at the Friedrich-Schiller-University, Jena. He was visiting scientist at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the Ruder-Boskovic-Institute and the university of Zagreb, the faculty of electrical engineering, university of Prague, the Max-Planck-Institute for quantum optics in Garching, the Max-Born-Institute for nonlinear optics and short time spectroscopy in Berlin and the institute for quantum optics of the university Hannover.
Dr. Lutz Aschke holds a PhD in physics and additional education in finance, innovation and quality management. He has held C-level positions in both large enterprises (Mahr, Trumpf, Schott) and SMEs (Limo) and serves on boards in mid-cap enterprises and startups in laser and quantum tech, industry associations (lasers, micro- and nanotechnology, optics), institutes like Fraunhofer, and advisory groups such as the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. His primary focus is on innovation and commercializing technology.
