About the Speaker

Eelko Brinkhoff is the CEO of PhotonDelta, a leading organization in the photonic chip industry, based in Eindhoven, Netherlands. With over 25 years of experience in economic development, Eelko has garnered extensive expertise in Foreign Direct Investments (FDI), internationalization of SMEs, innovation cooperation, and economic growth. His career is marked by a strong network built across business sectors, government entities, and academic institutions both in the Netherlands and internationally.

In his role at PhotonDelta, Eelko is dedicated to transitioning the organization through a phase of rapid growth to become a globally recognized accelerator for the integrated photonics ecosystem. PhotonDelta plays a crucial role in advancing the adoption of photonic integrated chips, which are vital for innovations in quantum computing, robotics, sustainable agriculture, and autonomous driving. The organization supports its partners with coaching, funding, and market access, promoting the widespread use of photonic technologies.

Before joining PhotonDelta, Eelko held several key positions, including Managing Director of Foreign Investments & International Trade at the Brabant Development Agency (BOM), where he led efforts to attract foreign businesses to Brabant and supported local companies in expanding globally. He also served on the board of DILAS, the Dutch Industrial & Logistics Association, and the Holland International Distribution Council (HIDC).

Eelko holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Fontys University of Applied Sciences and studied Economics at Tilburg University. Eelko’s vision and leadership continue to drive PhotonDelta’s mission to make integrated photonics indispensable for addressing modern technological challenges.
