Light Path Interventions and Enhancements Using Fine-Tuned Micro-Optics
Metallic optical benches used to shape, concentrate, expand, or collimate light emitted from UV-LEDs or Laser Diodes and route the light within compact optical engines and assemblies.
Speaker
Peter Gordon, Vice President Sales & Marketing, Cudoform
Peter drives Cudoform’s focus on enabling photon management, precise fiber alignment, and co-packaging in silicon photonics enabled next generation high speed data links as well as the use of micro metallic optical benches in unique life science, digital health and VR applications. He is a recognized Global Thought Leader in the Germicidal light industry, most recently applying UVC LED technology enhanced by micro-optics to novel and unique pathogen reducing interventions for air, water, and surfaces disinfection. He was awarded an Emerging UV Innovations Award by his peers in 2018 and writes a quarterly column on the application of UVC technology to enhancing Food supply chain safety.
Peter holds a MS in History of Technology from Edinburgh University, a MSEE from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a BSEE from the University of Pennsylvania, and he has also been a certified PSIA Adaptive Skier Instructor. He and his family live in bucolic Weston, CT, where they enjoy horseback riding, tennis, sailing, skiing, and gardening, as well as trips into New York City to enjoy museums and theater.
