Calmar's Ultrafast Fiber Laser Architecture Enables Frontier Technologies

Calmar has recently introduced a new High Harmonic GHz Trigger option for our Mendocino benchtop platform. The high harmonic GHz trigger feature directly facilitates the characterization of transceiver components, to support the development of 5G mobile communication networks.

Calmar's fiber laser architecture enables energy efficient and compact modular designs. These qualities are critical for many OEM applications requiring ultrafast laser pulses, such as in Teraview's TeraPulse Lx system for terahertz spectroscopy, which uses an integrated Mendocino module.  Given the terahertz spectral band is a candidate for next generation 6G mobile services, the Mendocino OEM laser (as part of the TeraPulse system) could play a crucial role in characterizing 6G components.

Furthermore, implementation of chirped pulse amplification in our proprietary fiber architectures extends the modular profile to the high power Carmel X-series to facilitate OEM integration. Through the implementation of advanced optical conversion techniques, we now offer the high powered Carmel laser platform at 1750 nm wavelength specification to target applications in deep tissue imaging, especially for neuroscience research.

Speaker
