Generative AI Meets Scientific Publishing

The AI chatbot ChatGPT exploded in popularity after its release in late November 2022, reaching 100 million users in just two months. The success of such generative AI tools, which are still largely unregulated, poses perplexing questions in many sectors—including academic publishing.
