I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in engineering physics from the Federal University of São Carlos (Brazil) in 2013. Later, I earned a Master's degree in Nanophotonics and Applied Physics at the University of Campinas (Brazil) in 2016, and a Ph.D. in physics in a split program between the University of Campinas and Technical University of Delft (Netherlands) in 2021. Today, I work as a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Hybrid Quantum Systems, at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich (ETH Zürich). My expertise is in integrated nanophotonics, superconducting qubits, and their applications in quantum computing.
Since the beginning of my master, I was always involved with outreach and students engagement activities. I was part of a traditional Optica Student Chapter in my university, where I could help with the organization of several events, such as two IONS conferences. I'm also part of broader audience outreach activities, including one of the biggest physics podcasts in Portuguese, the Fisicast, and pages on social media to share experiences of the LGBTQ+ community in science.
