Kimberly Reichel
Dr. Kimberly Reichel currently works on airborne lidar for 3D mapping with the start-up 3DEO in the Boston area. As an optimist, she is passionate about developing new technologies to improve our world. Her research interests have previously encompassed terahertz (THz) science and applications, from active waveguide devices based on electronically reconfigurable liquid metals to quantum cascade laser (QCLs) and extreme sub-wavelength THz imaging using scattering-type scanning near-field optical microscopy (s-SNOM). She values equipping others and serves as an Ambassador of the Optical Society of America (OSA) where she provides support to OSA student chapters and professional development resources to the greater OSA community. She received her Ph.D. (2016) and M.S. (2013) in Applied Physics from Rice University and B.S. (2010) from the University of Miami.
