I met Virgínia when I was 19 as an undergraduate student in physics in Recife,Brazil. She leads the chemistry lab in the department being a member of nonconvencional polymers group. I changed form theoretical physics to experimental nonlinear optics a few years later and she helped me with the preparation of coloids´samples and dye laser solutions and how to deal with lab stuff with safety.Now I´m a professor and I´m grateful for her patience and knowledge passed to me,so useful until today.
