I would like to honor Prof. Yanfeng Li of Tianjin University. Prof. Li was my undergraduate adviser and mentored me on the optical modeling of photonic crystal fibers that eventually led to a high-profile publication. Prof. Li was always patient in instructing and discussing with me and helped me set a solid foundation for my future research. The experience working with Prof. Li was very valuable and unforgettable.
