My mentor Dr. Daniele Aron Rosa, former Director of the Rothschild Eye Institute was a champion STEM and Science role model for women before the need for this cause was recognized.Her inventions and scientific discoveries were recognized in France where she received the Chevalier de la Legion de Honour in 1983 by President Mitterand. In the USA, she received the Laureate Award in 2004 which is the highest award given by the American Academy of Ophthalmology to an ophthalmologist. Bravo!!
