Bequests are gifts from your will or trust that take effect upon your passing after yourNeed to preserve assets?other obligations are fulfilled.
How It Works
- Include a gift to the Optica Foundation in your will or trust.
- Indicate that you would like a percentage of the balance remaining in your estate or trust, or indicate a specific amount.
- Inform us your bequest by contacting Foundation@optica.org or Kristen Wesley. Deputy Senior Director, Development, at +1.202.416.1441.
Benefits
- Your assets remain in your control during your lifetime.
- You can modify your gift to address changing circumstances.
- You can direct your gift to a particular purpose. We encourage you to contact us regarding purposes so we can ensure we can fulfill your request.
- Under current tax law, there is no upper limit on the estate tax deduction for your charitable bequests.
