About the Speaker
Antonio Sanz Cabello is a lawyer who has been serving as Deputy Minister of the Presidency, Public Administration, and Interior since January 2019. Previously, he was a senator for the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, Chairman of the Interior Committee, and Interior Spokesperson for the Popular Group since 2018. From February 2015 to June 2018, he led the Government Delegation of Spain in Andalusia.
Before that, he served as a member of the Andalusian Parliament for several terms, holding the position of Spokesperson for the Popular Group from 1999 to 2006. In his legislative work, his role as a rapporteur in the reform of the Statute of Autonomy of Andalusia stands out, as well as his participation in the Senate legislative reports on the Law of Rationalization and Sustainability of Local Administration and the Law on the Protection and Sustainable Use of the Coastline and Amendment of Law 22/1988.
