About the Speaker
Scott Dufferwiel is a Co-founder & CTO of Aegiq Ltd. He completed a PhD in solid state light-matter interfaces in 2014 and has over a decade of experience in developing photonic technology innovations from ideation to commercial deployment. He is a recipient of the Royal Academy of Engineers SME Leader program, a Chartered Physicist and a Founding Committee Member of quantum Business Innovation and Growth Group (qBIG) at the Insitute of Physics. In 2019, Scott co-founded Aegiq to deliver commercial utility using quantum photonic technology developed at the University of Sheffield and was the recipient of the IOP Start-up prize in 2021.
