Sensors for Real-time Monitoring of Biomarkers for Personalized Medicine Workshops

Overview

In the era of personalized medicine and continuous health monitoring, sensors play a central role in enabling real-time tracking of vital biomarkers. This workshop will focus on the latest developments in optical sensor technologies tailored for monitoring health biomarkers in real-time, addressing challenges and exploring opportunities for innovation. We are keen to bring together competences from academia, medicine and industry to foster collaboration and innovation in this rapidly evolving field.

Scope and Topics
  • Exploration of existing and emerging sensor technologies for detecting and quantifying biomarkers within the body for healthcare applications
  • Discussion on the integration of optical technologies into wearable and implantable devices to enable real-time monitoring of biomarkers
  • Analysis of current trends and requirements in sensing for healthcare applications. Which biomarkers (metabolites, physiological symptoms, etc.) hold promise for improving disease diagnosis and treatment? What is the optimal frequency for measuring these metabolites, and which bodily compartment or fluid is most suitable for measurement?
