Abe Offner
OSA Fellow Abe Offner studied at Western Reserve University, where he received a BA in 1930 and an MS in 1931. He worked as a library assistant until 1939, then he joined the J. A. Maurer Company as a physicist. He remained there until 1947, when he joined Perkin-Elmer, where he was principal optical scientist. In 1981, he received OSA’s David Richardson Medal.
